River Flood Watch Qld catchment

Contact us

If a height, a flood level or a page here looks wrong, this is where to say so.

This is not a way to report a flood

In an emergency call 000, or the SES on 132 500 for storm and flood help. This form goes to a mailbox that is not monitored during an emergency, and nobody who reads it can send help. For warnings, follow the Bureau of Meteorology and your local council.

Send us a message

Tell us what you saw, and where. Every message is read. One person runs this site in their own time, so a reply usually takes a few days — longer in a week when the rivers are up.

So we can reply. Nothing else — there is no mailing list.

Some things look like faults and are not: the guide’s If something looks wrong covers the common ones.

What you saw, and where. If it is about a gauge, name it and give the height you saw — that saves us a day.

After you send

What happens to your message

It goes straight to our mailbox and is not stored on this site. There is no database of enquiries, and your name and address are added to nothing. The only thing recorded is a count of how many messages arrive each day.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which is what keeps it from being used to send junk mail — a check your browser usually passes without asking you anything. The cookie policy covers everything else this site stores.

If the form will not send

Email auriverwatch@gmail.com instead — it is the same mailbox. The form will tell you plainly when it cannot send, rather than pretending to have sent something.
